Renaming an Existing Job

You can rename a job at any time. ePublisher AutoMap keeps everything that belongs to the job together: renaming a job renames the job's folder, the job file inside it, and the job's log file, and it renames the job's scheduled task, so an existing schedule keeps running under the new name. You can rename publishing jobs and composition jobs alike.

To rename an existing job

  1. Start ePublisher AutoMap.

  2. Select the job to rename in the ePublisher AutoMap main window.

  3. On the Job menu, click Rename.

  4. Type the new name for the job, and then click OK.

Note: A composition job reaches its members by path. Because renaming a job moves its folder, rename a job that a composition names as a member before that composition runs again, and then edit the composition so the member entry points at the renamed job. For more information, see Creating a Composition Job.
